Thursday injury report is completely identical to Wednesday’s version.
Once again, Carson Wentz and Michael Bennett did not practice. Wentz will miss Sunday’s game and Nick Foles will be starting once again. Bennett will likely get a limited practice in on Friday before ultimately playing on Sunday.
There’s be no indication that Jeffery and Tate won’t play. The Eagles are also likely taking it easy on Peters, who turns 37 years old in 12 days.
It’s unclear if Jones will be able to play this week. The Eagles shouldn’t be in a rush to force him on to the field, especially if he’s not full healthy. Maybe he’s kept active as an emergency backup? We’ll see.
It seems like Wallace might have a chance to play against the Saints. I feel like this is the first time the team has really tweeted about him since he returned to practice a couple weeks ago:
Maybe I’m reading too much into this tweet … but maybe I’m not!
Alexander might be able to play on Sunday for the first time since Week 15. Getting him back would help the special team unit.
The Eagles will release their third and final official injury report on Friday.
PHILADELPHIA EAGLES INJURY REPORT (THURSDAY)
DID NOT PARTICIPATE
NEW ORLEANS SAINTS INJURY REPORT (THURSDAY)
The Saints’ Thursday injury report is nearly identical to Wednesday’s version. The only two changes involve 1) starting defensive end Alex Okafor being upgraded to a full participant and 2) depth wide receiver Simmie Cobbs being a new addition as a limited participant.
Four out of the Saints’ starting five offensive linemen were limited for the second day in a row. Even if all they play, they might very well be less than 100%.
