The Philadelphia Eagles released their first official injury report on Wednesday in advance of their Week 14 game against the Dallas Cowboys. The Eagles held a walkthrough instead of a normal practice since they just played on Monday night so today’s report is an estimation.
On Tuesday, Doug Pederson made it sound like Hicks has a chance to play this week. But he was non-committal about it.
“Jordan Hicks is still — he’s getting close. He’s going to be more day-to-day. We’ll see as the week goes with him. Don’t want to put anything on him right now.”
Ditto for Maddox, who told the Daily News on Saturday that he hopes to play against Dallas.
“He’s close. He’s going to be day-to-day this week, as well.”
It’s unclear if Maddox will play at safty or at nickel cornerback upon returning. The guess here is that he’ll play at safety with Cre’Von LeBlanc remaining in the slot.
Pederson said Mills, who was spotted at Monday’s game wearing a walking boot, is “probably a little bit further away.” So don’t expect him to play this week.
As for Jernigan and Peters, Pederson made it sound like they could play on Sunday.
Jernigan is doing okay. He’s doing fine. He’s still going to be in the mix. Would expect him to be available this week and we’ll see tomorrow when we get back on the field.
[Peters] got rolled up. He’s going to be okay. He’s going to be day-to-day, but yeah, he should be fine. Should be fine.
Adams was a late addition to Philadelphia’s injury report with a hip issue heading into Monday’s game against Washington. Now he’s dealing with a shoulder ailment. Given that it’s still early in the week I’d imagine he’ll be OK to play, but we’ll see.
Michael Bennett played against Washington despite barely practicing last week. The fact he’s listed as limited early in the week here seems like a positive sign for his playing chances.
Darren Sproles is not listed on the injury report for the first time since Week 1. Great to see!
In other injury news, Mike Wallace spoke to reporters on Wednesday. Sounds like he won’t be back this week. Maybe the Eagles will activate him in a week or two if they’re still in the playoff mix. If the Eagles are eliminated, it could make more sense to activate Mack Hollins off injured reserve.
#Eagles WR Mike Wallace said he’s started running but he’s not yet ready. Called his broken fibula a 12-week injury. Broke it on Sept. 16, 11-1/2 weeks ago.

Mike Wallace is running again (“not as fast as I would like”) and his foot his mostly healed but he says now it’s about building strength.
Doctor told him he’s “on schedule” but he doesn’t know what that schedule is.
Doesn’t sound like he’ll be coming back just yet. #Eagles

DALLAS COWBOYS INJURY REPORT (WEDNESDAY)
No real surprises on the Cowboys’ injury report.
It’s been reported that Sean Lee might not be ready to play this week despite the fact he was originally optimistic about it. Even without Lee, the Cowboys have two very good linebackers in Jaylon Smith and Leighton Vander Esch.
